Toyota previously introduced an Innova EV concept at the Indonesia International Motor Show in April this year. The concept version features an infotainment screen that displays information such as battery level, available range, and power output. During the introduction of the Innova EV concept, Toyota Astra Motor Indonesia said, “The Innova Electric concept was developed for research and development purposes and will be used in the future.”
Toyota currently sells the Innova worldwide with either a petrol or diesel engine. It recently introduced a hybrid version of the popular MPV for the global market as well as in India. An electric version would complete the entire package for the Japanese brand and could soon become the first MPV to offer almost any powertrain, excluding hydrogen or CNG. However, an Innova with a CNG kit is also expected to land in India soon.
