Tom Ford appoints Peter Hawkings as new creative director

Estee Lauder Company (ELC) Inc. announced on Friday the appointment of Peter Hawkings to the role of creative director at tomfordbesides hiring Guillaume Jesel, the new CEO of the US fashion brand.
The New York-based company also says that Ermenegildo Zegna has appointed the new CEO of Tom Ford Fashion, which is expected to be announced in July, and assumes the role in the third quarter.

The designer has worked with Tom Ford for nearly 25 years, most recently as senior vice president of Tom Ford menswear. ELC first announced it had acquired the Tom Ford brand in November last year. With a purchase price of $2.8 billion, the cosmetics giant beats the French luxury group Keringwho is also rumored to be racing to acquire the US fashion label.
The acquisition includes an expansion of Tom Ford’s existing relationship with Ermenegildo Zegna to include long-term licenses for all men’s and women’s fashion, as well as accessories and lingerie. As part of the transaction, Zegna also acquired the Tom Ford fashion business.
Furthermore, Tom Ford’s existing license with global eyewear maker Marcolin has also been renewed.
