The Pearl Of Wisdom might be the most eye-catching, having won easily six stages ahead at Clairefontaine for team Francois Nicolle – regular pilot Angelo Zuliani was in the saddle.

Villa Rica has made five starts over obstacles at this stage, including a 3rd Place win at this venue, despite being beaten at List level last time.
