Titans activate WR AJ Brown from IR for ‘TNF’ vs 49ers
The Tennessee Titans is expected to trigger the wide receiver AJ Brown from the injured substitute Thursday in time for the team’s “Thursday Night Football” game against the San Francisco 49ers.
The Titans assigned Brown to return to practice on Monday, and he’s fully engaged, according to ESPN. He hasn’t played since suffering a chest injury on November 21 in a 22-13 loss to the Houston Texans.
Brown led the team with 46 tackles for 615 yards. His return is expected to be a boost for full-back Ryan Tannehill, who has been unsuccessful without Brown as one of his targets.
That being said, Tannehill will also have to start his game on Thursday night if the Titans take on the 49ers who have won five of the last six.
