Time and Tru Platform Footbed Sandals I Editor Review

Without referring to a particular shoe brand, I think it’s safe to say that we are all familiar with a certain type of sandal. *suggest* has a contoured cork stand. Honestly, I never got into this trend until recently, when I spotted a similar style for under $20 at Walmart. Enter, double lock Time and Tru Platform Footbed Sandals ($17), with mostly five-star reviews. Curious to see if I’d get into them, I thought, “what the hell” and added the tan block design to my virtual cart. My honest thoughts, forward.

What I like about these sandals

I’m surprised how much I like these normal slippers. As I added them to my cart, part of me wondered if its overwhelmingly positive ratings were too good to be true, but – spoiler alert – it’s not. I wear them just minutes after they arrive on my doorstep and continue to wear them all day while working from home for the full experience. I was amazed how quickly the memory foam pad adjusted to the shape of my foot, so that when I slid it out and back, it molded perfectly to my foot and thus, super Comfortable.

What occasions are these shoes suitable for?

This comfortable slippers is the definition of versatile. I can find myself wearing them to walk the dog as often as I would wear them for a day on the town with friends. denim shorts and a cropped t-shirt.

What’s worth noting about these sandals?

Before you add this set to your cart, there are some important factors to keep in mind. Firstly: You guys are right that these sandals are running a bit big. Depending on the brand, I usually go for a size 9.5 or 10, but I heeded shopper recommendations and ordered a size 9 – they fit perfectly.

Another thing that may or may not give you a hard time is that they are heavy, which is why a small percentage of shoppers decide to return them. This doesn’t bother me as I still think they are comfortable, but I understand why it could be a deal breaker.

And lastly, the color of this sandals looks different IRL than in the photo. On the website, the sandals are a mix of light, cream and dark brown, but in reality, the dark brown is olive green.

Would I recommend these sandals?

It’s correct! Assuming you’ve noted that they run large, heavy, and aren’t as color-accurate as they look online, they’re certainly a great dupe for the more expensive versions. I can’t give them good stars because they’re obviously not perfect, but I know I’m about to wear these again this summer – so four stars.
