Tiger Woods recently admitted he had been having trouble sleeping after Donald Trumpfailed assassination attempt on July 13. CNN The golfer reportedly couldn’t rest and followed updates on the incident as he was on his way to the Open Championship.

Tiger Woods explains his insomnia
The 48-year-old said when he arrived in Scotland for the 152nd major tournament, Trump was on his mind. “It was a long night, and that’s all we watched all the way here,” Tiger said. “I didn’t sleep at all on the flight, and then we just went to the golf course,” Woods reportedly collapsed the next day during his practice round, he revealed. The expert to shared he can not “completed a lot because [he] not in a good mental state.”
Woods had a long-term relationship with Donnie the Elder. Former chairperson awarded Tiger the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2019. They have also played golf together over the years.
When Yahoo! Sports When asked about his relationship with the 2018 Republican presidential candidate, he replied, “…he is the president of the United States. No matter who is in office, you can like them, dislike them, their personality or their politics, but we all have to respect that office.”
Trump and Tiger’s Public Sex Scandals
The two men may not seem to have much in common beyond their love of golf. However, both have been involved in highly publicized and salacious sex scandals. The 82-time PGA Tour winner’s then-wife, Elin, threw him out of their home when she learned he had been unfaithfulWoods later revealed that he had slept with more than 120 women.
Furthermore, Trump was recently found guilty for falsifying business documents after he was accused of paying adult film star Stormy Daniels for sex.
In other news, the gold medallist is aiming for another title. Woods won the Claret Jug in 2000, 2005 and 2006. He tees off on Thursday (July 18) and play runs through Sunday (July 21).
Now that we know our friend Trump is safe, hopefully he can get some sleep and be ready to play golf all week.
