Three-year-old boy airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries after crash in Aberdeenshire | UK News



A three-year-old boy has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a serious car crash in Aberdeenshire.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident, which involved a black Ford Fiesta, on the A98 near New Pitsligo around 12:45 p.m. Sunday.

The boy was taken by helicopter to the Royal Aberdeen Hospital.

A 6-year-old girl and a 27-year-old woman were also taken to hospital and treated for serious but not life-threatening injuries.

The road was closed for investigation and was finally reopened at around 11:20pm.

Police are now appealing to witnesses or anyone with information to provide information.

Road Police Sergeant Lesley Morrison said: “Investigations into this incident are still ongoing and we urge anyone who witnessed the crash or believes they have seen the Ford Fiesta first. there, please report.

“We’d also like to hear from any motorists who were in the area and may have dashcam footage from the A98 around the time of the crash.

“If you believe you can assist with our investigation, please call the police on 101.”
