This TVS Ronin 225 modified to a flat tracker is ready to hit the dirt road
TVS Motor Company recently hosted MotoSoul in Goa. The brand introduced four custom Ronins at the event. TVS also revealed the Flat Road Experience where they use a modified Ronin. The motorcycle was modified by TVS itself into flat trackers. To do this, the manufacturer had to change a lot of things on Ronin 225.
First, the motorcycle’s suspension setup has been changed. It now has a long-travel suspension, which means that the suspension travel has been increased and the ground clearance has also been increased. There is also a large skid plate placed below the engine to protect it from rocks.
The weight of the motorcycle has also been reduced due to the absence of headlights and the rear end has also been modified with a hood instead of a single saddle and the tail section has also been removed. It looks like the instrument cluster has also been removed. As a flat tracker, the front disc brake has been removed and new tyres have been replaced. The handlebars on motorcycles are also wider and taller. The footrests are also different, they don’t have rubber padding. Instead, there are spikes that improve grip.

There are updates to the engine as well. It has been re-tuned to fit the new motorcycle characteristics. There is also a new exhaust on the side with heat shields and it will also be lighter than the original. Stock engine on TVS Ronin is a single cylinder, 225.9 cc capacity, oil-cooled. It produces 20.12 hp at 7,750 rpm and 19.93 Nm of peak torque at 3,750 rpm. The gearbox on duty is a 5-speed type that slips and assists with the clutch.
