This Stranger Things VR Game Turns You Into Vecna For Revenge
Ever imagined being the bad guy? Well, a new one Stranger Things VR The game that combines psychological horror with action comes from the creative studio Tender Claws in 2023, and it turns you into the fictional monstrous Vecna. The game is authorized by Netflix, with the creators of the series participating in its creation. I’m not sure how exactly they got in, but the trailer fits Stranger Things well enough that it wouldn’t be a big deal if they just looked at it and said “Yeah, fine.” You can see it for yourself below.
Stranger Things VR dives deeper into previous seasons of the show than just season four. You’ll herd Vecna as he explores the Upside Down, learning about the otherworldly, alien content in it to begin working his evil revenge plans together. This will obviously involve infiltrating the subconscious of familiar Stranger Things characters, along with battling humans and Upsidedownian monsters with your nerves. Tender Claws has done a few VR adventures before, but this horror game was their first major licensed outing.
To listen, VR game doesn’t usually get my attention but even I think this looks attractive. I won’t spoil season four of Stranger Things for you if you haven’t seen it yet, but it’s probably the best one so far. That’s in large part thanks to the presence of Vecna, who finally places something of a human, brilliantly visible face into the Upside Down horror world of Stranger Things.
Strange Things VR launches on “major VR platforms” in winter of 2023. I guess that will give you time to re-watch season four a few times.
