This New WhatsApp Bug Is Affecting iPhone Users, Here’s How

WhatsApp recently released the latest version of instant messaging app for both Android and iOS user. This new update not only brings WhatsApp to version 2.22.18.76 but also has a bug that is affecting many users. This new bug is said to be caused by users trying to hide group or individual messages. However, this WhatsApp error is said to only affect iPhone users as Android users appear to be unaffected, suggesting that the problem is just with the new iOS version of the app.
How does this new WhatsApp bug cause problems
This latest WhatsApp bug is said to have changed the mute duration from one week to eight hours on the iPhone versions. However, this problem is specific to the ‘one week’ mute option as users don’t face the same problem with other durations like – eight hours or always – while trying to mute a group or a individual conversation.

Furthermore, this mute feature issue is specific to users who have updated their WhatsApp to the latest version – 2.22.18.76.
In contrast, users accessing the Meta-owned instant messaging service from their Android device will not face any such problems even after installing the latest version of the app. The latest version of WhatsApp with some new improvements was released by the company on August 31.

WhatsApp will soon stop working on Apple device
Meanwhile, WhatsApp is said to be shutting down on some Iphone on October 24. WhatsApp may stop releasing software support for iPhones running on iOS 10 and 11. This means iPhone 5 and 5C users must either download a newer iPhone version or start using it. use other instant messaging platforms.
