This Navratri vegetarian? Make this delicious Vrat-friendly Dosa Dosa

Navratri 2022 is being rolled out nationwide. While Sabudana and Kuttu are popular choices for vegetarians, why not try something different? Celebrity chef Guntas Sethi has shared a great recipe for amaranth, which can be used in Navratri vegetarian meals. Amaranth powder or Rajgira atta is a great amount of protein. It is also high in calcium and zinc – two essential minerals. Along with the recipe, the chef writes, “Vrath ka Rajgira Dosa. Dosa can never let you down and Navratri’s special Rajgira Dosa is just as good as the regular one – crispy, paper thin and so delicious: you have to try it.”

Here is the full recipe for Vrat-friendly Rajgira (Dosa):

Element:

1) Rajgira Powder / Amaranth Powder – 1.5 cups

2) Jeera powder – 1 tablespoon

3) Rock salt – 1 tbsp

4) Green chili – 1 tbsp

5) Coriander (chopped) – 2 tablespoons

6) Water – 2 cups (you can add more water until desired consistency is reached)

How to make Vrat-Special Rajgira Dosa?

Step 1: Take the mentioned amount of rajgira flour in a bowl and start putting other ingredients in the bowl. Add jeera powder, rock salt (usually those who use quick salt), green peppers, chopped coriander, and water.

Step 2: Mix all ingredients well. Make sure you don’t add too much water so the dough becomes too thin and don’t add very little water either. Just prepare the dough as you would while making regular desi (chilla) pancakes at home.

Step 3: Now, heat the pan and add the spoon of flour in it. You need to use a spoon to flip the dosa. Cook each side properly until golden brown. Your amaranth dosa is ready. You can combine it with green chili sauce and eco-friendly potato filling.

Step 4: The chef also said that you don’t need oil to make the cake, so coat the dosa very thinly to keep it crispy. You can also add other toppings and fillings as you like to enjoy as a crepe.

Step 5: Chef Guntas also shared the recipe for this dosa edible potato filling. For this, heat a little oil in a pan. Add some jeera, chopped green chili and curry leaves. Add the boiled and chopped potatoes, followed by rock salt and some crushed roasted peanuts. Finally, add chopped coriander leaves, mix well and enjoy.

Make sure you keep yourself healthy even while fasting. Congratulations Navratri 2022!
