This Microsoft Outlook update wants to make sure you don’t forget to follow up after the meeting
Microsoft Outlook is planning to make it easier to find important meeting documents, such as transcripts, transcripts, and minutes, from within the email client without having to switch to other apps. .
New feature, revealed on Microsoft 365 Roadmap (opens in a new tab)will likely collate AI-powered “smart summaries” by Microsoft Teams PremiumCompany’s upcoming paid addon for collaboration platform software.
That’s because those summaries, announced at the company’s Ignite event in October 2022, sharing an interim rollout date of December 2022.

Microsoft’s latest announcement for Outlook is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to make this happen Microsoft 365 an integrated, more convenient experience
It also announced at Ignite that Microsoft 365 apps are now available on web, desktop being removed in favor of a single appwith a complete transition scheduled for January 2023.
We first learned about the “smart summary” features, which may soon be announced as integration with other apps in Microsoft 365, via Microsoft Placesan application that Microsoft sees as bridging the gap between telework solutions and the physical workplace, without replacing either solution.
Microsoft claims Places will do this by helping employees plan meetings by providing, among other things, work location labels and a “modernized” booking system.
All of these updates taken together look exciting to companies in the Microsoft enterprise ecosystem and users combined work environment, but it can only be said that AI can both innovate and make our lives easier.
In regards to workplaces, Google Workspace has long beaten Microsoft and recently announced that it gives IT admins the option to request that employees use the inside feature Google calendar.
However, Google itself is also catching up when it comes to ensuring that users never need more than one application environment.
