Google I/O is one of my favorite developer events every spring, mostly because you never know what will happen. Sure, we usually get a preview of the next version of Android — this year it’ll be Android 14 — but we can also see some pretty crazy ideas, projects and features, most of the time. most of which never actually debuted; but it’s still interesting to see what Google is up to.

Now we know that Google will hold its annual developer conference on May 10, with the opening keynote once again being streamed online for all to see. The official Google I/O website says the event will take place in Mountain View, Cali., but 9to5Google is reporting that the opening keynote will return to the Shoreline Amphitheater, the same site where Google held its developer conference live before the pandemic.

Following the keynotes, focus sessions will be available upon request to developers.

Register for I/O is now open and free for anyone who wants to learn more about Google’s new developer tools and products.

As the event gets closer, we’ll definitely know more about what to expect from Google. Usually there’s some hardware (a Pixel 7a perhaps?), Android news, search updates, and some larger corporate projects. Keep stable!
