This is what you get for completing all 152 parts of The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom’s Shrines

There are 152 temples in Tears of the Kingdom, which means finding and solving them all is no small feat. Comparatively, Breath of the Wild has 120 (and you can see what find all that stuff earns for you here), but the rewards are surprising, eerie, and raise some interesting questions about the larger Zelda lore. It is worth noting that there are disclosure below to unlock at the end of the game.

After skipping the two cutscenes that play at the end of each Temple for the past 165 hours, the Last Temple displays some unique text and suggests the player visit the Temple of Time for rewards.

The Temple of Time is located on the island where you begin your journey of Tears of the Kingdom and the statues of King Raura and Queen Sonia certainly do not mention the ruins of the Temple of Time on the plateau. I don’t know who would make that mistake and search through the ruins for so long for a reward, but you definitely want to fly to the sky. You’ll find a new chest behind the Goddess Statue.

And in that chest is the Ancient Hero’s Aspect. The armor is unlike any armor in Breath of the Wild or Tears of the Kingdom in that it is one piece and is not considered three separate items. It also completely changes the look of Link. It functions much like Majora’s Mask turns Link into Zora, Goron, or Deku. Its description reads: “This item is said to contain the soul of a hero who once saved Hyrule. The hero’s aura will envelop the wearer.” It may represent the first incarnation of the Hero of Time.

Some characters will change their dialogue if you wear armor. The average Hyrule citizen may not seem impressed, but the likes of Impa and Purah (and possibly others) who have knowledge of world history will have new things to say about the interface Link’s new.
