Delhi residents prefer iPhone over any other smartphone, according to an official report by Cashier. According to the survey, out of 8,000 people surveyed, 18% of the total Iphone users live in New Delhi, 11% in Bangalore and 105 in Mumbai.
The Cashify survey also revealed that New Delhi also comes out on top when it comes to the number of used phones sold. The national capital topped the survey with 18% of all used phones sold, followed by Mumbai and Bangalore with 10% and 9% respectively.

The report says 70% of users have purchased refurbished phones just because they can afford them while 12% of respondents buy them as backup devices. There is another segment of 13% who spent money on a refurbished device because they wanted to give it to a loved one.
The report also mentions that 71% of the 8,000 people surveyed understand the concept of e-waste, but only 48% know how they will recycle their old devices. When asked, 58% said they would like to recycle their old devices, while 27% said they could do so in return for a profit. 15% of users are not overly concerned with recycling and say no, with another 4% raising concerns about data privacy.

The report also says that the most common type of damage to smartphones is. According to the official report, 40% of respondents had to fix their phone due to screen issues, 25% due to battery problem, 10% due to camera and 25% due to other issues. When it comes to maximum number of repairs, New Delhi once again emerges as the city with the highest bookings, with almost 25% of total repairs.
The top three brands with the most sold used phones
The top three smartphone brands with the most used phones sold are Xiaomi (25%), Apple (16%) and SAMSUNG (15%), as reported by Cashify. When it comes to acquisitions, Apple iPhone 7, Redmi Note 5 Pro, Redmi Note 4, Apple iPhone 6 and Apple iPhone X topped 5, in the same order.

When it comes to the percentage of smartphone users who most honestly say the actual condition of their devices, while putting them online for sale, Bangalore emerges as the most honest city with 29 %, followed by Hyderabad with 28%. When it comes to the least honest cities, Kolkata and Pune are the least honest with 21% each.
