Game

This is my last week at Game Informer

I never thought I would write these words: I’m going Game informant.

For almost 30 years, I look forward to every working day, eagerly seeing what game news will break, what I will write and on the best days, what I will play. In the time it took to create 330 monthly magazines, I have had the honor of working with some of the most amazing and talented people I have ever met. For a kid who can’t play enough video games growing up, I’m living a dream. I know how lucky I am and never take it for granted. I worked hard. I want Game informant is the place to go to to celebrate the game. I think we’ve done that ten times over and have created an exit like no other.

In the coming weeks, I will move from writing game news to creating it. I am entering the world of game development and publishing at a famous studio in North America. I can’t say where I’m going yet, but you don’t have to wait long, as I will reveal my destination next week. I’ve always wanted to make a game and now I have the opportunity to see what all the development is all about and hopefully contribute to the process in meaningful ways. I’m scared to enter a new job, but I couldn’t be more excited because I’m about to live another dream. I hope this will last as long as my writing career and be as rewarding as my time at Game informant to be.

I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished as a writer, but I’ll mostly miss the people I’ve worked with. I couldn’t ask for a better team. We were (and always will be) family. We celebrated games together as much as we celebrated our lives.

Game informant will continue to be a great store for games and I see an exciting future unfolding under the guidance of my friend Matt Miller (your new editor-in-chief). Game informantThe collective love of video games cannot be underestimated. It’s one of the things I’ll miss the most when I set off. The staff know why the games are special. We honor them every day through our articles and videos.

To millions Game informant Subscribers and readers on this trip with me, thank you for giving me the chance and making me feel like I belong here. I’ve had the time of my life to write reviews, reflect on last year’s games on Replay, and meet you in person at trade shows. To the game developers and publishers I’ve worked with, I owe you a huge “thank you” for realizing that. Game informant problems. An even bigger “thank you” is deserved for being so lenient with Andy McNamara and me in meetings. We are professionals; We just don’t look or act a part.

This is not goodbye. Not even close. Our next “hello” will be just a little different. I still want to talk about games and play them late into the night with anyone. I can’t wait for my next chapter to start and I can’t wait to get my next issue Game informant in my mailbox.

Everyone please keep playing the game and use me as an example of how dreams can come true. If you have passion and really follow your dream, it can become the life you’ve always wanted. I am living proof of that.

Thanks for all the support! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!!

All the best,

Reiner
