While inaugurating and laying stones for $Gadkari said the 6,500 crore national highway projects in the state were not good before 2014. He also stated that since 2014, the length of highways in the state has increased from 7,643 km to 13,000 km. . “By the end of 2024, Uttar Pradesh will have the same road infrastructure as in the US. The state is developing very fast and its picture will change with the development of roads. Villages and poor people will be happy and prosperous in the state, the youth will also have jobs and UP will become the leading state in the country,” he added.

The minister said that with the construction of the Ballia Link Expressway, Patna can be reached from Lucknow via the Purvanchal Expressway in just four and a half hours. “Can get to Ballia to Buxar in half an hour, Ballia to Chhapra in an hour and Ballia to Patna in an hour and a half. With the construction of Greenfield Highway, east UP will be better connected to Chhapra, Patna, Buxar in Bihar,” Gadkari added.

The minister further stated that the new road from Chandauli to Mohania, is being built at cost $130 crore, will provide connectivity to Chandauli in Uttar Pradesh and Kaimur district in Bihar via the Delhi-Kolkata GT Road. In addition, with the construction of Saidpur to Mardah road, there will be a direct connection from Mau to Varanasi via Saidpur.

The minister also stated that due to better connectivity with other cities of the state, the economic and social condition of UP will be improved as well as the backward areas of Azamgarh district will gain new connections. . Gadkari has also announced a new connecting route between Ballia-Ara through a new 28km spur road at a cost $1,500 cores.
