Without a doubt, ordering online has made our lives so much simpler. Gone are the days when we actually had to go to our favorite restaurants to order delicious food. Food aggregators like Swiggy and Zomato have made it possible for us to access our favorite foods with a few clicks. However, there can often be some funny jokes when ordering food online. Recently, a woman ordered a cake through the Zomato app. While her order was fulfilled, there was also a funny tampering going on. Check out the post she shared on Facebook:
While clicking, we can see a chocolate truffle cake with some decorations on top. However, instead of the usual ‘Happy Birthday’ message, the tape reads something quite different. “Transport mein likha tha “Bring 500 / – change” toh cake dishonest pe likhke bheja, [I wrote Bring 500/- change to the delivery guy, they wrote it on the cake instead]The woman Vaishnavi Mondkar revealed in the caption.
So Vaishnavi asked the delivery man to bring change for Rs. 500 / – to facilitate easy cash payments. But the restaurant or bakery got it wrong and wrote the message on that cake themselves! The hilarious post received a flurry of reactions and comments on Facebook. “Delivery Instructions excuse, laga diya, [you gave delivery instructions, they followed it]”Wrote one user. Another suggested that cash payments should be avoided for this reason,” That’s why I pay online. “

Online delivery apps regularly get cake orders and messages on top can be a source of laughter.
This is not the first time that ordering cakes online has led to such a hilarious confusion. In May 2022, another customer ordered a cake through the Swiggy app. He asked it to be mentioned whether the cake contained eggs or not. The bakery actually wrote on the cake that it ‘contains eggs’, much to the delight of internet users.
