Krafton officially announced PUBG: Battlegrounds as a free game in January. The company has revealed that since then, the title has consistently seen “a steady flow of over 80,000 new users per day.” Krafton detailed the figures in the company’s preliminary earnings announcement for the first half of 2022.
In a blog post, Krafton also shared that the average revenue per user (ARPU) across all platforms was “up more than 20% quarter-on-quarter.” The company also notes that international markets outside of Korea accounted for “94% of PUBG’s revenue in Q2 2022.”
The blog also mentions that Krafton’s multi-IP partnership helps the company deliver new content and new game experiences. Furthermore, the game has also adopted stricter anti-cheat programs “to ensure a fairer playing field for everyone.”

In addition to the earnings announcement, Krafton also discussed some of Krafton’s upcoming games on the blog. A new one Unknown World IP will be set in an “imaginative turn-based sci-fi world,” in development.
