A swollen or bulging face is a potential sign of lung cancer. Usually in this case, the area around the eyes swells up.
Most people tend to ignore this sign because a blistering face is linked to many common health problems like colds or lack of sleep. With time, people get used to it, until it becomes hard to ignore.
Facial swelling in lung cancer is caused by the lung tumor blocking the flow of blood in the superior vena cava blood vessels.
This is considered the first sign of lung cancer and is almost only seen when the patient is lying down.
Puffy eyes are often accompanied by redness on the face.
