In its latest job for the German police, Aachen-based tuning company AC Schnitzer custom-built a model based on the G26-generation BMW i4 M50 Gran Coupe for the police team. AC Schnitzer’s all-electric i4 is part of an initiative called Tune it! Safe! promote safety regulation. The nationwide campaign has attracted attention for the past 17 years in Germany. It is meant to show what is adjustable while still complying with traffic permit regulations.
The BMW car The i4 police car concept features the company’s aerodynamic package that includes elements such as a front spoiler, front splitter, front spoiler, rear roof spoiler, carbon rear spoiler and rear side spoiler. To complete the look, the EV also comes with AC Schnitzer’s design package and rear bezel protection film on the sides (two elements per side).

Because it is a police car, the car is equipped with a special police signaling system by Hella, along with Foilatec leaf decoration and Securlux safety leaf in the side windows. The interior is upgraded with a sleek aluminum finish – on the pedals, footrests, “Black Line” covers for the i-Drive system controls and keychains.
The AC Schnitzer-tuned BMW i4 also comes with a lowering kit, about 20 to 25 mm lower than the standard car. In keeping with the car’s sporty look, the electric Bimmer also comes with AC Schnitzer wheels – a set of 20-inch AC4 Flow Forming rims with a two-tone Silver/Black finish wrapped in Hankook Ventus S1 Evo 3 tires.
All ingredients used in Tune It! Safe! AC Schnitzer’s police BMW i4 is fit-tested, passing all road regulations.
