This BMW has the most powerful inline 6-cylinder engine ever from the US division


2022 hasn’t been so good for BMW enthusiasts, and the automaker seems to have saved the best for the final year. The German luxury carmaker has introduced the all-new 3.0 CSL, which is a revived version of an iconic model. After introducing the much-awaited new M3 Touring, M4 CSL and M2, BMW has now brought the 3.0 CSL version to pay tribute to the original 1970 Coupe Sport Light (CSL). It has been dubbed a special model. The most exclusive from the BMW M performance division. The new car has a distinctive kidney grille shaped after 2015 BMW car Concept Hommage 3.0 CSL. However, BMW has fitted it with a lattice spacer in diamond construction. The frame comes with a satin aluminum finish, which is also visible on the side window trim. The front windscreen will remind you of the original 3.0 CSL while still ensuring the ability to cool the engine and brake system. The car also comes with roof-mounted spoilers as a tribute to the 1970s model. The sharp laser headlights are similar to the M4 CSL.

Moving to the side of the car, it has bulging fenders and 20-inch forged wheels at the front and 21-inch wheels at the rear. The wheels have a Y-spoke design and are wrapped with custom-made Michelin tires. The tires have distinctive ’50’ letters embossed on the sidewalls to mark the half-century of the M division.

Moving to the rear, the new BMW 3.0 CSL has a prominent spoiler that reminds you of the Batmobile. It has a classic flavored M Power logo. In addition, there is a roof-mounted spoiler similar to the E9 model. The car is painted in the Alpine White Uni color theme with the usual M graphics.

Coming to the most interesting part of the car, the new BMW 3.0 CSL is equipped with the most powerful inline six engine ever used by the automaker. The 3.0-liter twin-turbo engine can produce a maximum capacity of 553 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque. Torque is reduced by about 100 Nm compared to the M4 Competition and M4 CSL. For transmission duties, the extremely exclusive special edition features a six-speed manual transmission. Power is sent to the rear wheels, where the automaker has fitted an M.
