The original Mass Effect trilogy is one of the game’s most popular epics, despite the controversial finale of the third chapter. Depending on the player’s choice, the fate of legendary protagonist Commander Shepard is either vaguely hopeful or tragically tragic. Mass Effect Andromeda has left a Shepard-led story, and players are eagerly awaiting any news of a numbered sequel. A Mass Effect 4 trailer has dropped in time Game Awards 2020 and reveal everyone’s favorite Asari Shadow Broker. And now, a new statue may be hinting at the return of the illustrious Commander.
According to a VGC reportThe original description of Mass Effect lithograph says it all: “While Shepard and the survivors are left to pick up the pieces, fans are left wondering what’s next.” Youtuber MrHulthen note that the text is quickly swapped for something less direct. Now it reads, “The Reapers threat may be over, but the big cost is including Earth. Could this sudden change mean the Commander will return? Only time will tell, as Mass Effect 4’s narrative details are exceptional rare.
Of course, BioWare doesn’t just work on its famous space opera. The next adventure in the high fantasy RPG series, Dragon age, are also on the way. Similarly, the story information for that game is few and far between, but the excitement for both series couldn’t be higher.
