This $11 gadget is a must-have for aging eyes
Everything seems to be getting smaller, while my eyes are getting worse and worse.
If you spend time squinting at small things, this is the product for you — a dual-lens head-mounted magnifier that saves you stress when working with small objects.
Features of Illuminated Dual Lens Magnifier SE:
- The headband is comfortable and easy to adjust
- Double LEDs can be rotated left and right, so you can light exactly where you need it
- Three high-quality lenses — one fixed 1.9x stereo lens, one 1.9x drop-in stereo lens, and one 4.5x magnifying glass
- It’s light and durable
- Can be worn over glasses
- Only $11
This is everything I wanted from a head-mounted magnifying glass. For starters, it’s cheap.
At $11, it seems too good to be true. But this time, it’s really for real!
Also: This $60 tool is a complete game changer
I had a much more expensive one Donegan OptiVisorand the quality of the SE magnifier build is just as good and it comes with a wider range of lenses for a fraction of the price.
Another big positive is that the headband is nice and comfortable, which is great for long-term wear. In fact, it’s so light and comfortable that I could forget I was wearing it.
Also: This must-have screwdriver has two cool hidden tricks
It is also very easy to adjust, suitable for large and small heads.
I also like the adjustable LEDs. It can be panned left and right, ensuring that it shines exactly where you want it.
The only downside to this magnifier is that you have to provide your own AAA battery for the LED. But you can’t have everything and I recommend using Rechargeable AAA battery than disposable alkaline batteries.
Also: Best rechargeable battery
I use this for all kinds of applications — circuit board assembly, appliance repair, hobbies and crafts, and also to read the printout in manuals.
For $11, this is a great purchase and one of my most used gadgets!
