‘They are massacring people’: Iran demos intensify in Kurdish city
Human rights activists have expressed alarm at a crackdown on protests in the Kurdish city of Sanandaj in western Iran.
Violence has been particularly intense in the city, where Amnesty International says there have been reports of indiscriminate use of guns by security forces.
Protests against the establishment of clerics have swept through Iran since the death of Mahsa Amini in September.
Mahsa Amini, a Kurdish woman west of the city of Saqqez, fell into a coma after being detained by ethics police in Tehran for allegedly violating strict headscarves laws.
