That is to be a car enthusiast you just have to drive by hand and build your own car.
I’m someone who’s only ever owned autos and Chrysler products, but there hasn’t been a single car brand that has surprised me in some way. I’m a car enthusiast because I see cars as more than just home appliances, you can see people putting time and effort into creating something most of them wouldn’t care about and these cars can tell great stories. Not only that, but cars in general: the way they move, the way they operate, that always amazes me. I love talking about big rigs beyond my hometown’s history to going to a classic muscle car show and seeing an F430 join the fun, even to seeing a legit Mitsubishi Kei truck on the street in New York and quickly chatted with the guy who owned it.
Seeing new handmade thrift cars even makes me happy, as they are not common sellers where I live for pete’s sake.
Why should I feel less valued as a car buff just because I don’t drive a car I built myself?
