These are the best things you’ve done with your car

“Absolutely nothing.

“Let me explain. I’ve owned my GT since 2008. The only things I’ve done are lower the springs, wheels/tires and exhaust. Very basic stuff has transformed the look. and the sound I can’t tell you how hot it was to join and blow thousands of dollars when it was forced to recommend. Now, I could easily have it as a 600+ hot bar horse power.

“I learned my lesson with my first car, a 1998 ZJ. I lifted that thing up, modified all the models, you name it. You know what happened? I destroyed it. It looks cool and capable, but it’s miserable to drive.

“I swore I would never do that to a Mustang. I would like it for what it is, and not force it to be something it isn’t.

“So now I have a car that is really reliable, enjoyable and has never broken anything in the 14 years I have owned it. It’s not a money pit, it’s not a jackstand monument in my garage. It’s something that’s always ready to go and happiness begins every time. It may have been a month since it last moved, but I know it will boot up immediately and work without a hiccup.

“With two kids under three and all the rest of life, I don’t have time for a project right now. Keeping my ‘fun car’ from becoming a permanent project is the greatest thing I’ve ever done with my car. “

A lot of you have argued that the best thing to do with your car is practically nothing. Obviously leaving your car stock will make it easier for you to sell when the time comes, and it is suggested that any performance upgrades you try to make will actually ruin your car.
