Leslie Jordan, actor and comedian best known for his role as Beverly Leslie on the long-running sitcom Will & Graceas well as the above roles American Horror Story and Call me Kat, died Monday at the age of 67.

While his acting career spanned more than 30 years, Jordan began reaching new audiences during the COVID-19 pandemic with his humor and Southern accent. He’s posted to his 11 million followers on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok about how he’s dealing with society’s changes, and includes videos of him dancing, singing, and telling stories.

Thousands of people sent their condolences on Monday and Tell me about Jordan raised their spirits over the past few years.

Here are some of his warmest and funniest moments.

He bought his first apartment at 67

Jordan bought his first apartment at the age of 67 and celebrated by performing his own hit theme song on the sitcom “The Jeffersons”. “Move East, to a luxury apartment in the sky,” he sings. “Continuing up East, I finally got a piece of cake.”

He shared some of his most outstanding memories

In a videoJordan, a gay man, told how as a child his father took him to his first soccer game and began explaining how it worked, to which Jordan replied, “But when? then the majorettes come out?”

Jordan loved to swing his baton and would practice his moves in the front yard, to the chagrin of his father, who begged him to do his routine inside.

“He loves me. He just doesn’t know what to do with me,” Jordan said as he demonstrated his ability to swing his baton. “But he comes home from work and I’m in the front yard. He’ll be with all of his military friends.”

The following line, “Daddy, watch me twirl” has become a staple in the meme and even made into a song.

He gave his impressions of the latest songs

Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande released their collaboration “Rain on Me” in 2020, in which Jordan posted a video of him banging his head on the record and saying, “I think I read about this in The Bible, the book of Revelation. I think. means the end of the world or something – makes me want to dance.”

As for the Cardi B and Megan the Stallion “WAP” collaboration, he doesn’t delve into the song due to the clear lyrics, but admires the effort nonetheless.

“I couldn’t believe it. It was just shocking,” he said. “Well, I’m not judging each person. I guess every trash can has a lid.”

He showed off some of his hobbies

Jordan shares with his followers that he is prescribed Ambien to help him sleep, but if that doesn’t work, he has to keep a diary.

He opens his notebook to display his handwriting and the various stickers he uses to decorate the pages, including cats, rabbits, and flowers.

“I think I fell out of my mother’s womb and landed in her high heels,” he said. “I just like pretty things. I think that’s why gay people were put on this earth, just to make things beautiful.”

There are also various videos on Instagram of Jordan, a Chattanooga, Tenn., Native, performing country songs with the likes of Danny Myrick, Travis Howard and the Osborne Brothers. He released his first album“Comin’ Company,” is gospel, in 2021.
