There was a standing ovation as the long-awaited financial deal was agreed
There was a standing ovation when a new financial agreement was adopted at the COP29 summit in Baku, Azerbaijan.
The new deal provides $300 billion (about £240 billion) a year to developing countries by 2035.
When COP President Mukhtar Babayev knocked the gavel to announce the new agreement, applause filled the room.
The climate summit lasted more than 32 hours and ended at nearly 03:00 local time (23:00 GMT) and there are fears that a deal will not be agreed.
Just a few hours earlier representatives of the Alliance of Small Island States step out of the negotiationsRejected previous offer worth 250 billion USD.
