In the 1990s, Billingsley began working more behind the scenes as a producer and screenwriter on projects. In 2005, he was nominated for an Emmy for the show, Dinner for the Year. He also served as an executive producer in the first Iron Man movie.

Peter also co-wrote in 2022 A Christmas Story Christmas. “We’ve been developing this movie for almost four years,” Peter told Collider. “A few years ago, it seemed like the right time to start exploring this. A lot of things had to line up to get it right. We were able to work with (screenwriter) Nick Schenk. I was able to write the story with him.

“The future is disrespectful. Billingsley added: “Sometimes that’s a little mean, but it’s the truth.” “So to do that, Clay Kaytis, our director, was able to produce with my longtime production partner, Vince Vaughn. We did a lot of movies together. Queue time, for a lot of the right portion. And most importantly, Ralphie, as a father, is a great way to explore this movie. What will he be like, as a father? What will his family be like? Where is he in his life?
