The weirdest Final Fantasy game is now cheaper and will be on Steam next month
Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin will launch on Steam next month and is available now at “a new, affordable price,” according to Square Enix. Are not than the price is affordable, just “affordable”, this means that the old price for the action game Team Ninja is unacceptable.
So as of today, Stranger Of Paradise costs £35/$40 from Epic game store, down from £50/$60. No one told them that their other series of games still cost $70.
Square Enix announced the April 6 release and price drop with a tweet:
Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin launches on Steam on April 6.
The game is also currently available at a permanently discounted price.

Stranger Of Paradise is not like other Final Fantasy games. This is a character action game about hacking and slashing your way to slay Chaos as a gruff fighting boy named Jack. Ed (our own gruff fighting boy) played it when it was released and appreciated Team Ninja’s typical tight combat core, but felt it was let down by the flat levels, repetitive loot-crushing process, and one-note characters.
Square Enix’s recent financial report mentioned that some of their recent releases have been underperforming. No game has been specifically named, and Square Enix has released a lot of games over the past year, but the lower price will probably lead to more people taking a chance with Jack’s insatiable need to kill Chaos.
