Produced by a Chinese brand called Chicecream, the popsicle is so hard that it stays solid even under flame under high-temperature conditions, Global Times reported.

This brand is known for producing luxury creams that cost more. However, recently several customers have shared their unsatisfactory experiences with ice cream. Video posted on the Chinese social network Weibo shows people trying to melt ice cream with soldering irons but to no avail.

The unusual quality of the ice cream came to light after a user posted a video of him trying to melt it with the flame of a lighter. According to AFP. And, this also raises concerns about the safety of the product.

Soon after the clip went viral on the Internet, it prompted others to try different ways to melt the ice cream. A person puts ice cream at room temperature 31 degrees Celsius for an hour only to find out that the ice cream is still intact. Another person put the cream under the flamethrower but got the same result.

Chicecream later released a statement on Weibo and said that they do not sell any such ice cream that will melt. In addition, the brand also mentioned the ingredients of its Coconut Salt ice cream in the statement.

Responding to the controversy, Chicecream wrote in a Weibo post, “We believe it is unscientific to judge the quality of ice cream by baking, drying or heating the ice cream,” the South China Morning Post reported.
