In this day and age, we all spend some amount of time anticipating the next big thing, and nowhere is this more the case than among gaming fans. No sooner have we got our hands on a new game than we are thirsty for the next instalment, and whether it be some new downloadable content for an existing game, or something new altogether, the best thing on the block is always the next thing. For anyone who is into games, there is bound to be an upcoming release that’s got them nervously anticipating release day.
Below, we’re going to look at some of the upcoming games that have got us keenly taking notes and listening out for what the developers are prepared to tell us. These games include the latest instalments of annual series as well as some anticipated content from one of the biggest series ever to hit our screens. How good might these games be? We’ll look at the information available and give our own opinion on what we’re looking forward to.
Fire Hot 100
There is no shortage of excellent slot games on the market right now, and Time2play has reviewed the options extensively. But innovation marches on and we always love a new slot, and Pragmatic Play’s Fire Hot 100 looks like an instant classic. A 5×4 layout and a solid 96.43 RTP make it one of the more rewarding new releases we’ve seen, and when the game hits casinos at the end of August it’s likely to draw an instant crowd of admirers. Offering traditional symbols and plenty of expanding Wilds, this is a slot that will keep you coming back for more.
There’s a new NFL season on the horizon, but you can get back on the field before the league’s stars when Madden drops its latest title on August 15. Offensive and defensive line play have both come in for a major overhaul, so we’re excited to see how that translates to the screen. We’re also excited about the development of an improved wide-receiver/defensive back battle when the ball is in the air. Hopefully, it doesn’t make it too hard to catch a pass or intercept one. You’ll also have more say in what happens during a bye-week: spend it on the training field, or get your players together to focus on team dynamics? It’s up to you.
Football Manager 2023
We don’t know exactly when the new edition of this soccer-management sim will be released, but we know it’s coming. The 2022 version came out in November of last year, and a similar date would be the smart bet for this edition, too. Italian giants Juventus will likely be back in the game, which is good news for fans who got tired of playing as “Zebre”. We may also see the fruition of the database of women’s soccer that the developers have been working on, though this remains unconfirmed. When it comes, we do want them to get it right, and that remains more important than rushing it into the game.
