The previously undefeated Aidos Yerbossynuly was clearly unsettled as he was helped back to his corner by David Morrell – who had just been beaten by knockout in the 12th round of their fight.
Veteran boxing journalist, Dan Rafael, is currently reporting through Against the weirdos unite The website said Yerbossynuly was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center and placed in a medically comatose state as doctors dealt with the bleeding on the brain. Showtime, the broadcaster of the battle card, provided the following statement to Rafael:
“We continue to monitor the situation with Aidos Yerbossynuly and our thoughts are with him and his loved ones at this time.”
The Kazakh boxer was previously undefeated in his professional career and is challenging Morrell’s WBA Super Middleweight Regular title. Morrell, who remained undefeated with a record of eight wins and seven knockouts, knocked out Yerbossynuly twice in the final round before the referee stopped the fight. It follows a continuous battle, which finds the challenger behind on the scorecard.
Despite a commendable effort, Yerbossynuly was still overrated in a tough and punishing fight. It eventually stopped when there were only 26 seconds left on the clock. The boxer managed to stay on his feet after Morrell’s final, big right hook, but referee Tony Weeks disqualified him without consideration when he saw Yerbossynuly fall backwards onto the ropes.
