The super exclusive Rolls-Royce Boat Tail convertible is included
Rolls-Royce has revealed another super exclusive Boat tail rose, which introduces some level of personalization, luxury and incredible rarity. Only three Boat Tails are planned, with previous models going to rap superstar Jay-Z and a wealthy Chinese businessman.
Rolls royce car says the car was built for “a patron whose family business grew out of his father’s roots in the pear industry”.
The luxury carmaker says that the customer gifted four pearl shells to inspire the car’s golden exterior colour. The handcrafted stern also features a unique ‘butterfly design storage’ on what Rolls-Royce calls the aft deck. There’s also the ‘Pantheon Grille’ at the front, which is cast from a solid billet of aluminum. The Spirit of Ecstasy emblem is made of rose gold.
The interior uses a mix of cognac and oyster leather and Royal walnut veneer throughout. There are also rose gold trims on the center console, and the dashboard features customer-supplied clocks from his own extensive collection.
There are no mechanical changes to this Tail from others on the committee, at a whopping 5.8 meters long. It uses a modified version of the Phantom’s aluminum spaceframe architecture and under the bonnet is a twin-turbo 6.75-liter V12.
Rolls-Royce hasn’t released performance figures yet but the engine will produce the same 536bhp and 900Nm of torque as the Phantom, so a 0-62mph time of around 5.3 seconds. The thrill of driving is unlikely with this Boat Tail at around £22 million.
This Model of the Tail will be publicly revealed at the Concorso d’Eleganza, Villa d’Este concurrent meeting on May 21.
