The Steam Deck can now list the make and model of each component part
The Steam Deck can now show you the make and model of the components in your device.
To access this new feature, you’ll have to opt-in to the client’s beta services through the Steam Update Channel in the settings. You can then access the component lookup view by clicking Settings, then System, then the Model/Serial Number button under the Hardware heading. In this view, you can see the model and manufacturing of the components in your Steam Deck without opening it. The idea is to provide clarity about the parts in your particular Steam Deck as well as provide useful information to Steam Deck owners looking to repair or replace components through iFixit.
The component list shows the parts that made up your particular Steam Deck when it was manufactured. That means if you replace any parts or upgrade anything, the view will not reflect those changes.
