Fed Minutes: Minutes of the Federal Open Market Committee’s September meeting will be released today and will be of interest to Fed watchers as debate surrounds the central bank’s next interest rate decision – specifically It could be whether they will cut interest rates again this year, and if so, by how much.
Storm Milton: Preparations and evacuations continue ahead of the storm, which is expected to make landfall along Florida’s west-central coast late tonight or early Thursday. The National Hurricane Center warned it had “the potential to become one of the most destructive storms on record for west-central Florida.”
Fedspeak: Several US central bank officials are expected to speak today. The presidents of the Federal Reserve branches of Atlanta, Dallas, Boston and San Francisco are all expected to make remarks at separate events.
