The route to the top of the world
Flight route (Tapit) (139), who closed his undefeated career in the GI Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic, maintaining his lead in the ninth edition of the 2022 Longines World Best Racehorse Ranking.
In Breeders’ Cup Classic, Flightline left the field to win with a record 8 1/4 lengths. Olympiad (Sightstown) (124) came in second, while Taiba (Gunman) (123) is another half-length back in third place.
Rebel’s Romance (Ire) (Dubawi {Ire}) (122) also impressed in the Breeders’ Cup World Championship and joined the ranks following his 1/2-length win at the GI Longines Breeders’ Cup Turf. It was his fifth win in a row and his third at the highest level.
Meanwhile, both Equinox (Jpn) (Kitasan Black {Jpn}) (123) and Panthalassa (Jpn) (Lord Kanaloa {Jpn}) (121) found themselves ranked after their impressive efforts in G1 Tenno Sho (Autumn). Equinox ran down Panthalassa running ahead to win that contest.
Besides, Bay Bridge (GB) (New Bay {GB}) (122) improved his rank from 120 to 122 after defeating Adayar (Ire) (Frankel {GB}) (121) is half the duration in G1 Qipco Champion S. My Prospero (Ire) (Iffraaj {GB}) (121) came in third, while Baaeed (GB) (Sea The Stars {Ire}) (135) is fourth.
