The Rings Of Powerful Bosses Want To Make Star Trek 4 Like ‘Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade In Space’

In a recent publication Mr. Interviewing The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay, the pair shed light on their plans for a previously canceled Star Trek 4 movie in the Timeline for the first time. Kelvin. The film was in development with director SJ Clarkson (Dexter, Ugly Betty) but eventually, after the scriptwriting phase, all news about the project slowed down before it came to a complete conclusion.

Until this interview, all that’s really known about the movie is that Chris Hemsworth will return as Captain Kirk’s father. “The conceit is that through a cosmic anomaly in the Star Trek world, they’re the same age,” McKay said. “It’s going to be a great father-son space adventure – think Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in Space.”

The film is to introduce an original villain whose core idea is “2001: A Space Odyssey-esque sci-fi”. The screenwriting duo teamed up with Lindey Weber, who is also now an executive producer on Rings of Power, but the film just “disbanded”.

During the interview, Payne also revealed how Chris Pine’s Captain Jim Kirk was able to interact with Hemsworth’s George Kirk. “There’s an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation called Relics where they find Scotty, who’s been trapped in a truck for several decades, and they can have a fun adventure with him,” Payne said. “What if just before the Kelvin collided with that giant mining ship, George Kirk tried to rush to his wife’s shuttle where his son, Jim Kirk, had just been born. And what if the ship doesn’t completely explode– what if it leaves some space junk behind?”

McKay added, “The adventure is that Chris Pine and the crew of the Enterprise have to search for the wreck of the ship his father died in due to a mystery and a new villain. In the ship they come across by chance. role model of his father. They took him out and he didn’t know that no time had passed, and he was looking at his son. Then the adventure started from there.”

A new Star Trek movie set in the Kelvin Timeline is go into production by the end of this year.
