Laurel Park | Maryland Jockey Club

With high temperatures and humidity in the forecast, and in the best interest of horses, riders and fans, the Maryland Jockey Club has pushed back the posting time for its 10 races live at the Park. Laurel on Saturday, July 23. The first race, the declared 5 1/2-year sprint for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders scheduled on the All Along field, will begin at 1:50pm. afternoon instead of 12.40pm as usual during the start of the 37-day summer meet. The National Weather Service forecast calls for ample sunshine and a peak of 95 degrees on Saturday, and near-record temperatures of 98 degrees on Sunday. Laurel had previously scheduled the July 24 show to move to Thursday, July 28.
