‘The Quest’, ‘Vampire Survivor’, ‘Shovel Knight Dig’, ‘Disney Magic Kingdoms’, etc – TouchArcade

Hello everyone, and welcome to the week! It’s time to once again take a look at the notable updates of the past seven days. It was one of those days where time was very short. I built the list first, but I took a few precious minutes to fill in the paragraphs. That means this can be great or terrible. Let’s see which one! Of course, you can keep an eye on updates yourself by joining the TouchArcade forums. This weekly recap is just here to fill you in on the things you might have missed. Let’s go for it!

Vampire SurvivorFree of charge

See, the funny thing is that I included this game in the post last week because of some very confusing stuff, and then the DLC was added in this update. That’s the magic of Shaun, people. Or absolute coincidence. Maybe later. Anyway, the Moonspell’s Legacy DLC is available for the game now, so give Poncle money and enjoy the loot. What will I do next? Maybe ice cream.

Mission7.99 dollars

Always nice to see updates for Mission pops up on my list, because that usually means there’s a new expansion to play. This time it’s Cursed chess set expansion. As usual, you buy it as a standalone app and can play it that way or activate it here in the main game. If the name sounds familiar, I believe this expansion already exists for the original version of Mission. I remember it being a good one though, so give it a try if you haven’t already. Just to save time, I will give this wish UMMSotW For this week. Next!

Temple Run: Puzzle Adventure,

There’s a new minigame to play Temple Run puzzle adventure, and it’s called River Raft Rescue. You need to rescue fallen runners from the road and grab some sweet loot along the way. There are also sixty new puzzles to play, plus several new tournaments to enter. Oh, and some new Treasure items will be added to the old store shelves. There wouldn’t be an update to this game without some of it.

Castle smashing is something few people get tired of, so it’s no surprise that this game is finding a foothold with the Apple Arcade suite. This update offers more of what people are after, and that means new challenge areas to tackle with some cool rewards that come with them. You can now swap out your boosters and have a new Training Area for rookie players. The gesture controls have been tweaked, and so has the overall balance of the game. The difficulty curve should now be a bit smoother.

Taiko no Tatsujin Pop Tap Beat,

Nothing anyone wants from a Taiko no Tatsujin updates in addition to new songs, so you will be happy to hear this is just that. The big highlight this time is the opening theme for three guns, HT, but you also get fake, Mixed Nuts, Parade of Tin SoldiersAnd Don’t Stop the Game to touch your finger along. The list of songs in this version is getting pretty impressive compared to this one and the gameplay is as good as you would get from a mobile version extremes. However, hopefully they keep adding those songs. You can never really have enough.

Simon’s Cat – Story Time,

So it occurred to me that I didn’t have any candidates for this week’s mandatory free jigsaw puzzle update. I have a few Apple Arcade games of this kind, and one could argue that they qualify. One person can. And time is of the essence so I will. This update features 25 new levels to play, along with a new Search Group feature that lets you search for Mr. Potts’ lost items in the garden for some extra rewards. Also: bug fixes and performance improvements!

Digger Knight Shovel,

Ah, Digger Knight Shovel. I like this one a bit, although I know some people who are a bit cool with it. This new update adds Knightmare Mode, an additional challenge for those who have already completed the main game. This new realm will test your skills in a very frustrating way, so make sure you’re ready to explore around a bit. Also new is Mementos, which allows you to track your progress in the game. Check them out in the Overworld. There are several other balance additions and adjustments based on player feedback, so if you found it enjoyable but a bit frustrating before then you might want to revisit it now.

Gear.Club Stradale,

Okay, we’re moving at a good pace here. Let’s see what’s going on with Gear.Club Stradale. Looks like a new Challenge of the Day feature, where you take a loaner car to a different race each day to collect some nifty rewards. Some of them are even exclusive to this mode, so be sure to give it a try. This version also includes a new profile customization option and a new car from the Super Carta Stradale event. I assume that will happen, although I imagine some people would like to see even more new games added.

Disney Magic KingdomFree of charge

This is a tough update. The latest additions to Magic Kingdom are the characters of Encanto. Luisa, Isabela, Mirabel, Antonio and some guys we didn’t talk about are here and they are looking for a long lost treasure. Add Casita and Isabela’s enchanted room to your park and score some Encanto ears for guests. I really like this movie. It has a lot more to say than I initially expected, and it’s nice to be pleasantly surprised that way. Maybe I’ll revisit it soon.

Marvel Championship ContestFree of charge

Well, look. I just dined a little late and we’re at the end of the article. That worked out fine. Anyway, championship contest. There’s a new Event Quest called Shoot in the Dark, in which the young Avengers team up with the Champions to investigate several thefts in Battlerealm. I feel it’s the least of anyone’s problems in this context, but that’s okay. I suppose I have to keep the kids busy with something. Kate Bishop and Vivi Vision join forces to uncover the thief, and it turns out it could be something far more sinister than originally imagined. There’s also some nonsense about the Danger Room here, but I don’t want to translate it from F2Pese into normal human language right now. So sorry!
