“Surname [laser weapon systems] has started to come [for the army]. Borisov said.

The system is capable of “easily shooting down different types of drones, avoiding the use of expensive missiles of the Pantsyr and Tor types,” Borisov added.

According to TASS, the new Zadira laser weapon system is more powerful than the Peresvet system, capable of blinding reconnaissance satellites at a distance of 1,500 km.

Russian state media reported that Zadira focused on destroying objects at a distance of up to 5 km and that it literally burned the target with its thermal impact.
