The number of times you urinate can be a sign of disease

Urinating more than 7-10 times a day can be a sign of type 1 or type 2 diabetes.

According to the UK’s National Health Service (NHS), urine output can range from 3 liters in mild cases to 20 liters per day in severe cases of diabetes.

In addition, it has the potential to make a person feel thirsty all the time and can leave the person feeling “dry” in the mouth, regardless of how much water they drink, the health agency said.

However, it is important to note that frequent urination is not necessarily diabetes. People with high blood pressure or unrelated kidney or bladder problems may also urinate more often.

Dr Preethi Daniel, Clinical Director at the London Physicians’ Clinic told Patient.info, “Urinating a lot unnaturally means ill, so there’s no need to worry if you’re feeling well.”

“Most conditions can be easily identified by simply talking to your GP, who will organize further tests and treatment,” she recommends.
