The new Kia Sorento ‘Edition’ shakes up the SUV line-up


That fixed it all Sorento line up, with the new ‘Version’ replacing the ‘2’, ‘3’ and ‘4’ trim layers. Simplifying the seven-seat SUV will help “streamline production and distribution” of the Sorento, Kia said.

The ‘version’ is based on the previous trim level 4, featuring a variety of black exterior styling. The front grille, mirror caps, roof rails and side window surrounds are finished in black as are the 19-inch wheels. On top of that, this version has a panoramic sunroof, a customizable head-up display and powered tailgate. Three exterior colors are available on the Edition; Pearl white, graphite or midnight black.

Inside there is a Bose sound system, wireless phone charging; The driver’s seat is 10-way adjustable with lumbar support, heated front and rear seats, and ventilated front seats. Safety equipment includes remote parking assist, blind spot collision avoidance assist, 360-degree camera and blind spot monitor.

The engine range of the fourth-generation Sorento will still include 1.6-liter mild turbocharged gasoline, 2.2-liter diesel and 1.6-liter plug-in hybrid gasoline. The diesel model features an exclusive, larger 20-inch wheel design and is finished in black.

Kia says the Sorento version is now available to order with first deliveries in early 2023. The updated range starts with the diesel at £49,495, followed by a mild hybrid at £50,995. . Pricing for Dip into the mixture has not yet been announced.
