The Ioniq 6’s dashboard is themed similarly to the 5 with dual 12-inch driver and infotainment displays on the dashboard. There are also additional screens in the wings at each end of the dash, for a camera system that can replace traditional door mirrors – possibly only on top-spec UK models.
The vehicle’s power window switches are located in the center console to provide a slim and uncluttered door panel that intelligently illuminates with reflective textures in up to 64 colors. The Speed Sync Lighting mode can also change the brightness of the interior lights in front of the cabin based on the car’s speed.
Other conveniences include the EV Performance Tuning system, which allows the driver to adjust steering effort, electric motor power, accelerator pedal sensitivity and driving modes. And e-ASD, an audio technology, changes the spaceship-like sound inside the vehicle based on the vehicle’s driving state.
Auto Express expects a Ioniq 6 WOMEN pattern of joining the squad at several stages. While Hyundai won’t confirm a performance version, an Ioniq 6 N model could also link nicely with the Ioniq 6 replacing the Veloster N in the all-electric ETCR e-Touring Car World Cup series.
