The music in Honkai: Star Rail brings the space to life
One of the few things the HoYoVerse fan community can agree on is that the music in the HoYoVerse games is, for the most part, really good. Some of the tracks are even classified as straight shots. Background music Honkai: Star Rails It especially stood out to me because of the large amount of battle themes that can exist in each world when compared to its contemporaries.
Back when I played the closed beta, one thing that immediately caught my attention was how much I liked the default battle theme in Herta Space Station. Okay, look, it’s not anything fancy or epic or anything. It’s just a feeling and I like it. much more than the default Mondstadt battle theme in Genshin Impact (which I played right before entering) closed beta). I liked it so much that after HoYoVerse shut down the beta servers, the first thing I did was go to YouTube to see if anyone had uploaded it. So, from the start, I was a fan. Honkai: Star Railsmusical aesthetics of.
As the game continues and updates roll out, I’m quite amazed at how HoYoVerse adds new battle tracks to the game, even when we’re not going to a new world. Genshin Impact is the only other HoYoVerse game I’ve played where I paid attention to the music. But in GenshinThere are only about two or three tracks per region and they seem random. I know that some tracks only play in certain regions, like the Sumeru desert and the rainforest which have their own themes. However, when listening to them, they sound very similar due to the common instruments and general style. This is unfortunate because the different regions Look so different from each other! So I wish they could sound more unique.
Compare, the world in Honkai: Star Rails have unique battle themes for different locations, even when they share the same world. Compare Scalegorge Waterscape to Shackling Prison, Fyxestroll Garden, Cloudford, and Alchemy Commission. All of those areas look and feel very different, so it’s nice that they all have their own battle themes instead of sharing from a limited bank. In the most recent update, story bosses got their own unique battle themes back in modes like Memory of Chaos and Divergent Universe. This is great, as I’m a big fan of certain modes, and it’s nice not to have to listen to the same four or five Echo of War battle themes every week when I want a change of pace.
In theory, it’s not a big deal. But music is more important than you think! Check this out. Harry Potter Edit went viral on the internet a while back. The poppy music in the background does a lot of the heavy lifting in conveying that spring movie feel. I’ve long held the opinion that D.Gray-Man The anime is a bit influenced (whether original or not) Cross) from hiring Kaoru Wada as a musician. Wada is great. But his style incorporates a lot of traditional Japanese instruments and sounds that really bring Inuyasha with life, but feels strange in the gothic European setting D.Gray-Man. Even if the script, acting, and cinematography of a scene are all perfect, a bad soundtrack can ruin the entire movie.
Will I notice anything unusual in the game if it Are not change the soundtrack based on each map instead of the world? Probably not. Still, it’s a nice touch that I appreciate. The sheer variety of music helps to create the world Honkai: Star Rails feels bigger and more epic than it actually is, which fits the space opera genre perfectly. Now all that’s left to do is design outfits for the female characters that can take notes!
Honkai: Star Rails To be available on PS5, Windows PC and mobile devices.
