April Simpkins, mother of the winner of Miss USA 2019 Cheslie Kryst , who passed away in January 2022, spoke of her daughter’s “high-functioning depression”. It was reported by Fox News.

She added that she has known about her daughter’s problem since she was 20 years old and encourages her to call whenever she feels the need. However, at the same time, it seems that Cheslie Kryst is feeling better for her.

“She’s starting to go in the right direction. See a therapist. She sleeps really well at night. She knows what to do,” admits April Simpkins.

However, according to the late beauty queen’s mother, she did not realize how deeply her daughter was suffering from depression, including because Cheslie Kryst herself always said that she was doing well and in communication with her friends. , she prefers to talk about them, and not her own.
