An American singer has apologized after swearing on live television during a performance of the US national anthem.
Loomis sparked ridicule on social media when she performed The Star-Spangled Banner at an independent candidate debate Wednesday broadcast live on C-SPAN television.
On Instagram, she called the incident an “incident” and told the team at Free and Equal Elections, who organized the debate: “I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to tamper with the national anthem .”
