The trailer for episode 7 of The Last of Us is here. Traditionally, HBO has skipped a preview for an upcoming episode of its post-apocalyptic zombie drama based on the beloved PlayStation video game, revealing a key DLC character — Riley. Appropriately titled ‘Left Behind’, the new episode was directed by Liza Johnson (Silicon Valley) and recorded three weeks before Ellie was introduced on the show. This new arc is reported to be only 56 minutes. The 2014 DLC The Last of Us: Left Behind took an average of two hours to complete. The Last of Us episode 7 premieres February 27 at 8:30 a.m. IST / February 26 at 9 p.m. ET on Disney+ Hotstar and HBO Max, respectively.
Trailer for Our Last episode 7 plays out as a flashback sequence, with Ellie (Bella Ramsey) attended her military prep school in the Boston quarantine — weeks before meeting Joel, her soon-to-be companion/father (Pedro Pascal). “You follow the rules, you become an officer,” one official told Ellie, who was presumably called into the office after a brawl in the training room. “We are the only thing that holds it all together.” The end of episode 6 sees our main couple escape from a group of cannibals, in which Joel is stabbed. As Ellie scours the local abandoned shopping mall for medical supplies, she is haunted by images of her past, including her time with her friend Riley — played by Ellie role play. “I’ll tell you everything, but you have to come with me for a few hours,” Riley told the panicked Ellie. “You trust me, don’t you?” Our Last The episode 7 trailer then opens at an abandoned shopping mall – one that Ellie has probably never seen before. It is soon revealed that Riley herself is a firefly – the revolutionary militia group Marlene (Merle Dandridge) guide. “None of this is even about me!” shouted a distraught Ellie, after being manipulated into thinking that Riley had returned to her because of the bond they shared. As it turns out, this is Riley’s last meeting with Ellie before she joins the group forever. The noise from the argument drew unwanted attention from the infected, making the duo wary of zombies. “Get ready to run,” Riley says before we catch a glimpse of them fighting back.
Since much of Ellie’s backstory remains a mystery up to this point, Joel in the backseat will help build the character well, just like the developer Naughty dog did in The Last of Us: Left Behind DLC. It will also be interesting to see if the upcoming episode covers the time when Ellie contracted the disease — a pivotal moment in the story, when she discovers that she is immune to the effects of the Cordyceps fungus.
In the first day of this month, report emerges show that HBO content, including The Last of Us, Game of Thrones, heirand more, set to leave Famous Disney+ star platform in India, due to some restructuring plan posed by the recent recovery Disney CEO Bob Iger. Currently, there is no word on which platform HBO content will move to, once the plans are in place.
New episodes of The Last of Us stream every Monday on Disney+ Hotstar, at 8:30 a.m. in India and Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on HBO Max anywhere available. Season 1 consists of nine episodes.
