One investigation was released after a video showed a parent shouting and threatening children on a school bus after he claimed his child had been beaten by one of the other students.
Based on News about wave 3, the incident happened in Louisville, KY, and happened Friday as students were on the bus on their way home from Carter Elementary. During the stop, the video shows a man shouting at the children on the bus and threatening to “overturn this bus” if they touch his daughter again. A young girl, who is believed to be the man’s daughter, was also present with him at the time. There was also another man present as he held the parents back from the children as some of them started screaming and crying at the time.
The school’s principal Jamie Wyman emailed parents after the incident to inform them of what had happened. She assured that the bus driver had been instructed to return the students to school without any further stops, and that once they arrived at the school, the students waited until the LMPD (Police Department Louisville Metro) and JCPS (Jefferson County Public School) to security.

In the letter, Principal Wyman also shared that residents had left the bus but were still following the bus in their vehicle, and that students reported seeing a gun as they followed the bus.
Parents are encouraged to talk about the incident with their children, and may also contact a school counselor who is available to talk about the incident.
A JCPS spokesman shared that a school safety officer was present during the afternoon dismissal on Monday, and an employee followed the bus in the morning. The bus stop where the incident happened is also monitored by a JCPS security guard.
Currently, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
